Children's Centre

Ray of Hope serves children, up to the age of 18, who
are orphaned or are disadvantaged. Once they turn
18, we will help them to transition back into their
communities while also helping them gain skill training
that will enable them to gain employment or become
 self-employed.

We have plans to add more children to the center as
room and money become available. Currently at the
center, we have 15 children ranging in age from four
 to fifteen.

Some of the children are orphans due to HIV/Aids
and others are from disadvantaged families. We
aim to provide for them in the areas of education,
healthcare, clothes, housing, and food. It has been
rewarding to watch them grow in the Lord and share
 their faith with others.

The children are housed at Ray of Hope Village in
Shimba Hills, Kenya. They are involved in all aspects
of the village’s community life, including work duties,
leading and participating in worship, participating in  outreaches and attending local schools.
 Testimony from a boy
 who lives at the Village:

 "God has done wonderful
 things
in my life since
I
 joined the Ray of Hope
 family. God has used me
 to minister to people all
 around me.

 Especially when I was at
 Athi River in Nairobi God
called me when I was 13
 years old, and since then
I started to share His love
 with all people.

 One day when I was
 walking from the church
 I met two gentlemen who
 asked me how they could
 know about Jesus Christ.
 After talking with them
 about Christ we prayed
 and they accepted the Lord
 as their Savior.

 God keeps on showing me
 visions about his people
and how He wants me to
reach out to them with the
 gospel. I’m so excited to
 be part of this amazing
family and I am grateful to the staff God has given us. God bless you all."

  • SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Ray of Hope also has started a non-residential sponsorship program for orphaned and disadvantaged children. The children remain in their community rather than coming to live at Ray of Hope Village in Shimba Hills.

You can sponsor a child for $25 per month. This minimal amount provides school fees, books, school uniform, shoes, and clothes. Most of the children will be living with relatives in their home village and one of our staff will be visiting on a regular basis.

There are currently 2 children in High school. The goal is to sponsor 20 children. To sponsor a child e-mail Ray of Hope TODAY!
