"In the last two years we have served over 3,500 people during our medical outreaches..." To join a Medical Outreach e-mail Ray of Hope TODAY! | Medical outreaches were born out of a great need for medical care in the two districts of people we are working with on the Kenyan coast. While doing outreaches, we discover that many individuals are needlessly suffering from curable illnesses. The majority of the people are living in remote villages with no access by road and have to walk for hours to come to one of the medical clinics. During the medical camp the doctors or clinical officers see the patients then provide them with medicine. Our team members provide prayer because we believe that physicians treat and God heals!! The program is set up in such a way that individuals feel cared for and get to see the love of Christ in action. We serve one area per day for a total of 5 days in 5 different areas. In the last two years we have served over 3,500 people during our medical outreaches. In one village where we held an outreach, an elderly lady came who had been suffering for a long time with high blood pressure. After receiving medication to last her a month and prayers from the team, she was healed after two weeks! This woman was not a believer but after seeing the goodness of the Lord she gave her heart to the Him!. We have had hundreds of people come to know Christ as a friend through these outreaches. Many of these individuals have joined local churches in their areas. |

UZIMA means “life.”
This ministry is targeting two locations in the area with the goal of providing quality health care for the people. We would also like to provide immunization services for many children in the area, plus host primary health care seminars for the communities to achieve the global goal of better health care for everyone.
While our medical outreaches provide assistance on a short term basis the clinics would be a long term solution at Shimba Hills and in the Tana River District. Our hope is to be able to build a clinic in each of these areas.
Ray of Hope Village is repairing Uzima clinic at Shimba Hills to provide healthcare for Tsimba and Majimboni locations. There are approximately 10,000 families in these districts and all have very limited access to health care. Uzima clinic is an out patient clinic providing essential medical care for the remote villages. Immunization will be provided for children which is also major need.
