In 2006 John Kisamwa began looking for property around the greater Mombasa City. He settled on a 4 acre property in Diani; about 40 minutes from Mombasa town. This is a quickly develpoing area popular with other charities and NGO’s (non-governmental organizations). In 2007 God provided the total funds needed to purchase this beautiful 4-acre property full of mango and coconut trees about 10 minutes from the Indian Ocean. On this property Ray of Hope plans to build a Training and Retreat Center. Diani is an international tourist destination with strong development potential.

Diani Mission Center:

Hosting, training and preparing men and women for Christian ministry throughout the coast of Kenya and beyond.

ROH Diani will be dedicated to host, train and prepare pastors, missionaries and ministry leaders for Christian ministry. In addition to training, ROH Diani will be the main administrative hub for all the work of ROH including the medical clinic outreach in Mikameni and other future outreach efforts. Other strategies will be developed from Diani to reach the Kenyan coast such as Medical and other ‘need oriented” outreaches; Short-Term evangelistic outreaches and Church planting

The new facility will be used to:

• Train and raise up new Christian ministry leaders and encourage existing ministry leaders through the use of pastors/leaders conferences and training courses.
• Host short term outreach teams.
• Provide semi-permanent housing for ROH Ministry leaders.
• To serve as the administrative hub of all ROH ministries.
• To host the ministry of Kainos – 1 year training program.
• To host a house of prayer.
• To host a counseling center.
• To host English and Leadership Training Outreach Classes.

The retreat center will offer:

 Weekend Retreat (Pastor and wives) – hotel style rooms
 Family Ministry (whole family) – hotel style rooms / dorms
 Young Persons (15 – 30yrs) - dorms
 Pastors Training – dorms
